Heading down to the Nascar race tomorrow evening at Kentucky Speedway and was wondering if anyone knew what the beer situation is at the track. I know we are prohibited from bringing beer into the track because of state law. Anyone know if i can expect to find anything beyond Bud/Bud Light available?
I'll answer my own question. Checked out a bunch of the concession stands and didn't see any craft beer. Lots of Miller Lite and Lime a Rita. And moreover, the lines to buy beer during the race were insane. I had Lemonade.
The couldn't sell until 1 pm and did not have staff to man all the booths. They rely on volunteers from fundraising groups to man the temporary beer booths. Tough to get those groups to come back Sunday to sell beer for approx 2 hours.
