Craft Beer at Mohegan Sun

You won't find any NeBCo beers at Mohegan. As @Robtobfest said, Landsdowne has decent beers. Also, Thomas Hooker just took over the brewpub in the Race Book. Beers aren't bad, a vast improvement over whoever was running the brewpub before and if you make a bet here and there all of your beers are comped.

 

I had a Sea Hag bottle once last fall at the Landsdowne, first time trying it and was excellent. Not sure how continuous that supply is, but my bet is it stays in stock a little while each time as their crowd is not too craft-centric.

 

Another suggestion is to check the bar at Bobby Flay's Bar Americain, for both beer and nice bar snacks - the dipping sauce served with their fries is infused with crack I think. They always have at least one or two decent craft offerings. In checking Untappd, it appears their recent lineup includes Sculpin and Limbo. Typically there will be a quality IPA then more of an "generic" craft selection like Hooker.

 

I haven't been so I can not vouch for the accuracy but I saw on Facebook there is a place called Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar at Mohegan Sun that seems to have a decent tap list. The Facebook page says they have Dogfish Head, Goose Island, Two Roads, Tröegs and others. They have a tap lister page that shows some impressive beers.

 

I just looked again and it looks like they literally just opened their doors on Sunday March 15th at 11am. Or a solid minute ago. Haha.

 

it's a pennsylvania place. maybe they'll get pizza boy on tap! 40+ taps / 100 tvs. looks good. waygu burgers, old bay / sriracha wings, & build your own stromboli. fork lift me outta there!

 

For some reason, I have seen quite a few check ins of Sea Hag from Mohegan Sun on Untappd. Maybe it does appear sporadically. Thanks for the suggestion.

 

SeaHag was available at the Landsdowne on Friday. I was shocked!

 

I usually go to Hooker for a couple drinks. Its a nice chill area of the casino.
Other than that there isnt much. If you give up om trying to find craft stuff, bow and arrow bar always has $2 stuff like miller high life. Not what youre looking for I know, but if youre gonna end up drinking generic stuff at the bar with your friends, it might as well be a $2 miller instead of a $8 miller.

Sculpin on draft & Old Rasputin in bottles at Bobby Flay's Bar Americain. Just gotta pay a premium for it.

 

Flower Power bottles at Del Soro

 

My birthday at Mohegan there was Flower Power at Sol Toro and I comped a few Honker's Ale while playing video poker at the bar in casino of the wind. That was good.

Last time I went to Jordan's Steak House they had monkey fist IPA and shock top chocolate whatever... not so good.

 

Like you can't find a few free drinks in a Casino to even it out. You're also talking about paying a few bucks for a beer at a place where we all literally give our money away

 

Went to Mohegan on Saturday. The Lansdowne Pub had Sea Hag on tap.

 

If you head into the Race Book all of Hookers beers are free. Seems like the best option
