Hello fellow BA's. I'll be making a quick trip to Katy, TX this week and looking for a good place to eat dinner that has a good beer selection. Would prefer to stay near Katy (I'll be staying just off Katy Hwy) so probably won't venture farther into Houston.
There is not a lot in the area. Several chain beer bars like World of Beer, and a little further towards town is Yard House. I am not particularly fond of either of those, but not everybody agrees with me. The Cinco Ranch city center has a lot of restaurants, most are chains. Honestly, I would check out the new Dish Society that opened in Cinco Ranch. Not a beer bar, but there will be some locals on tap, and a good restaurant. No Label is the local brewery for Katy. It is not a great brewery but not bad either, and they are on tap at a lot of places. The Public House would be another place to check out. Again, not a beer bar, just plenty of No Label and decent pub grub.
