Tri-boro Beverage & Astoria Bier & Cheese are a walk & a couple bus stops from each other. The first has a pretty decent selection for the area. Both fill growlers. There is also Euro Mart a short walk in the other direction. If you want a genuine hole in the wall, try some of the run down supermarkets in the area. Most C-Towns & Keyfoods carry decent enough emergency bbq stock, but nothing special.
There is also a supermarket (forget the name) across the street from SingleCut brewery with a really big and decent bottles selection. Both Tri-Boro and Astoria Beer and Cheese fit the bill perfectly though. The latter is also a sit down place where you can grab a pint or two of whatever is on tap.
