The opening was yesterday. They are still stocking up, but a nice space, with a great variety of beers already on the shelves, a good many Belgians and New England beers we don't see much locally, no BMC type stuff, or semi-craft beer at all. The homebrew section isn't totally set up yet but they're working on it. We bought a bunch of bottles for Christmas tastings and talked to one of the owners a bit. They are installing an electric brewing system for demos and classes and already planning to expand shelf space. Right across the street from Prohibition Pig.

They do growler fills of Lost Nation - thrilled! Saves me a trip up to the brewery in poor weather (but I would still miss out on their yummy food.) Looks nice; found some Oude Beersel I didn't expect to see; friendly staff. Left them my card for future in-store beer & cheese events if that comes to pass. And - it's within the Waterbury Walk-Around so a post-shopping session is right at hand.

LN Petit Ardennes on yesterday, which is a fantastic low ABV farmhouse ale.

A new stop on my trip to the poorhouse, but it's a fun journey...

Anyone know if distribution is different with a franchise store? Will they be distributed beer available in MA but not in VT?
    How much were the fills?
So glad they have Petit, but the food at LN kicks ass : )

No Pretty Things so they probably only get stuff that's normally distributed here. They likely have to follow the same liquor laws as anyone else.

$10.00 growler fills. I forget how much the glass cost. Yes, I do wish LN was closer to me.

Will they fill LN with a growler other than LN?

    Thanks

I think the distribution conforms to the area and not the franchise, which kinda sucks since they have a location in FL and VT, and it would be nice to see beers from those areas available in all there stores as I am about 15 minutes from two different locations.

They have their own growlers; don't know if they will fill anyone else's.

Was hoping they could legally get broader stock as they're a franchise. I guess that's why they have the home brew addition, to make them different than existing local supply?
They seem like pretty easy going guys.
Some cigar city would have been awesome.

VT does have some (limited) Cigar City distribution, so it will probably show up there eventually.

How are the prices? Every time I visited Vermont and tried local stores (Hunger Mountain, Beverage Warehouse, Stowe Beverage) I have found an excellent selection and great prices. CBC is generally expansive but expensive...

Prices vary in both directions from what I've seen elsewhere. Heady at $13 for a 4 pack and Rochefort 10 for $6 seem pretty reasonable. Some German and Belgian beers seem quite pricey. Easily available local beers mirror grocery store prices. They were still slapping stickers on Saturday so some prices could change when they settle in.
