Anyone been to a Revs game or anything recently? Real curious as to if I'll be able to sate my craft beer thirst at Taylor Swift tomorrow. Am I settling for Sam?
They have a small selection of craft beer, nothing to write home about. There are a couple of carts on the main level. Offhand I can't think of them but the one that sticks out which i usually get is Berkshire Brewing Company's Coffeehouse Porter. They sell bombers of it and pour it into a large plastic cup. It isn't cheap, I think its like 12-14 bucks for the bomber.
Sam, Harpoon, Berkshire Brewing Company (best bet here 22oz bombers), and Blue Hills. Couple others that I am problem missing for sure...
I've never had that but it sounds right up my alley. After what I spent on tickets, beer money is not as much of a problem.
It's a lot easier to swallow the beer prices @ Gillette for a Revs game compared to a Patriots game. Between the free parking and cheap tix for the Revs its night and day.
FYI I took the kids to One Direction last summer and Sam was the only option. The craft beer carts were closed. I suppose Taylor Swift may have an older audience though?
only been for Pats games, but there was some good options, at least in the 300 level concourse. I'd be surprised if the full beer selection is there for Revs & Taylor Swift. last time was December '14 and the Otter Creek Black IPA was perfect mix of light & dark for being outside in December. never quite enjoyed a black ipa as much as I did those three. or was it 4.
As a regular attendee of UMass football games there (there are literally dozens of us!), I can say that even with the much sparser crowds, they do typically have a few of the "craft" beer carts open. They'll usually have one or two reasonable options on tap, and the aforementioned Dean's Beans from BBC. Just some perspective on what the selection looks like at a non-Pats game. Could be different for a concert of course. Of course, that all pales compared to our tailgate. I can't verify this but we might account for 90% of all craft beer check-ins at Gillette Stadium.
Thanks! We sell a lot of our bombers at Patriot games, Revs game, and concerts. Thanks for supporting local craft beer.
When I go to Pats games, I park one mile north of the stadium in the parking lot at Gaard motel. It is not a bad walk to/from the stadium, and you avoid the traffic mess near the stadium.
The cart near section 138 has the Blue Hills and Berkshire bombers, as well as Mayflower Porter on draft. Hope the other BAs at the show enjoy it!
