I am headed out to Calgary for work on Sunday. I have not been there and hear that there is an emerging craft beer scene in Alberta. Does anybody have any good breweries to recommend?

Wildrose, Brewsters, Brew Brothers and the new brewery Tool Shed would be your best bet for Calgary breweries. We don’t brew much here but we know how to import.

The Big Rock Brewery's Traditional Brown Ale is well worth trying, Their Warthog is good too!

Brewsters does honest value for food and their own beer if you are going out, National on 10th has probably the best tap list in the city. Skip Bierstein's Trad and Warthog suggestions unless you want a beers that bores you to sleep go for Big Rock seasonals, the Monkey Fist DIPA is an honest that would not be out of place in any market.
