I'm going to be in KL the end of July and looking for any recommendations on beer bars. Any help is appreciated.

You've done it again. Keep it up! I'll be in KL after the HK trip next month that I mentioned in the other thread. ... Anyone else out there, feel free to chime in. I'm not pinning a lot of hopes on anything, but it'd be good to know, and I'm open to pleasant surprises.

I've personally been to Taps Beer Bar, and I can personally vouch for them as a "craft beer bar."

Keep in mind, given KL's geographical location, the bulk of the beers available there are either going to be from Australia/NZ (Yeastie Boys, Prickly Moses, Holgate, etc.) or Japan (they had a few Hitachino on tap when I went), with a few of the usual wide-reaching Europeans (BrewDog).

They also had some standard pub fare which I didn't try because they're literally within walking distance from the street food markets of Petaling Street.

I hope you like hot weather!

My "like" of the above was not for the hot weather. I'm bracing for a meat-locker level of air conditioning at a conference hotel, with a bone-cracking transition to outside. Conducive to thirst, at least! Thanks

I loved Taps! Such a nice bar with such a relaxed crowd.
