Unfortunately, South Beach is largely devoid of any actual craft beer bars with The Room (Collins Ave) and The Abbey (Alton Rd) being the only exception. Neither one of those places are great but they serve their purpose if you are limited to the beach. You can also find local beer on draft/bottles at a number of different restaurants in the area as well. If you have access to a vehicle (possibly even consider Uber), your best best is to head up to Wynwood and check out JWakefield, Kush, Wynwood Brewing, Boxelder, etc.

There's also lost weekend on espanola. Not the greatest selection by any means but it has the added bonus of not being a typical miami beach bar. I recently went to the abbey for the first time in years and they've really upped their prices. RIP Abraxas we miss you so

Stopped by Abbey a couple of weeks ago - good beer and a nice low-key refuge from the rest of South Beach.

Also highly recommend J. Wakefield and the other bars in the Wynwood area. However, in case you don't have a car or want to pay to cab/Uber over to Wynwood and back, The Room is a pretty good spot to visit in South Beach.

Not sure if you have the Untappd application on your phone, but I've found it pretty useful to find out what's on tap in an area I'm not familiar with. Search for nearby bars, then click on them and see what beers people checked in recently. In South Beach, you'll probably overpay, but I bet you can find some decent beers somewhere around there.
