I am planning a weekend trip to Myrtle beach this weekend. Any ideas if there are good craft beer stores there? Any good beer bars? Or should I plan on bringing beer from home? Cheers to all!

if you scroll back or search you will see a thread when i was headed down there a couple of weeks ago...it would seem that the PIG is your only option..I was staying up near the house of blues and the only shop sorta close was Green's and the selection was sad. I admit, I am spoiled with the selection here in Charlotte but damn, it was a extra 20 min drive for maybe 10 total craft beers to choose from..

www.myrtlebeachbeerfest.com is this weekend. Greens went from being ok to being crappy a few months back. Beach Discount just down the street has a better selection. The pig has the best.

For folks staying in NMB, Pavilion Beverage sucks, but in a pinch, they usually have a good selection of DFH, Lakefront, Mendocino and other random craft brews. They do have a great selection of whisky on the liquor side, though. They are across from Krispy Kreme, just up the road from Overtime. I believe around 13th Ave. South, NMB.

And yes, Green's in MB has stopped carrying craft beer - head down to Beach Discount Beverage, or ultimately - The PIG.
