So I'm flying to Atlanta next month to visit my father. I know last time I flew Southwest, they had Fat Tire as their "craft" selection. Anyone know what other airlines are offering as far as craft lineups go? American Airlines or US Airways in particular?

Delta advertises it right on their website:

Sample craft beers on all U.S. flights. Availability varies by region and may include:

    • Ballast Point Brewing Company (CA)
    • Blue Point Brewing Company (NY)
    • Brooklyn Brewery (NY)
    • Lagunitas Brewing Company (CA)
    • Newburyport Brewing Company (MA)
    • Samuel Adams (MA)
    • Stone Brewing Company (CA)
    • SweetWater Brewery (GA)
Every other airliner I checked just mentions Sam Adams in their menus

Alaska Airlines has (surprise) Alaskan Brewing and Kona Brewing available.

I'll be going on vacation next week (lucky you guys, getting a break and all) and my seats apparently have free booze. Is craft beer a thing on planes now? Specifically for Delta? I'll be flying from Detroit to Vegas, and then Seattle to Detroit (or Flint? I forget.) on the way back. I guess that might change the options. Thanks.

A friend of mine flew to Israel recently and the plane had a few craft choices but nothing spectacular along with some interesting foreign choices. Where are you going for vacation?

    Per Delta's online menu:

    Domestic option = Miller lite

"Craft" options = Blue Moon, Heineken, Sam Adams Boston Lager, and Sweet Water 420 Pale Ale

I know I have seen some New Belgium beers on planes before also ... Hope this helps!

This is what I see -- I don't know why I didn't think to check their site:

After doing some looking around online, it appears as if my flight will probably only have Sam Adams on board. A bit of a shame, but hey, better that than Miller Lite.

Thanks for the thread merge, by the way.

Had a sculpin can on Delta in April from JFK to Orlando. They have a list of potential breweries on the website, but usually only have a few of the options.

Why is fat tire "craft"? I'm pretty sure its craft, unless they're too big now for anyone to like them.

To answer the question, on Delta I've gotten Sweetwater on flights into/out of Atlanta. On Southwest I have had Fat Tire and Sierra Nevada PA.

I fly a fair bit, and that's nearly the extent of it unfortunately. I've heard that if you fly Alaska or Southwest to San Diego they often have some of that SD goodness.

Alaska Air/Horizon always have local/regional craft options. One time my dad came to visit, and they offered him a beer on the flight from SeaTac to Bham (about 25-30 minutes). Well, they had opened a 22, and when no one else wanted beer, they offered him the rest of the bottle. Yup, my dad downed an entire 22 on a 25 minute flight. He was in a good mood when he got off the plane.:stuck_out_tongue:

I think the only "craft" option on Delta is Sweetwater, being based in Hot Lanta and all.

OP, I fly USAirways frequently and Sam Adams is the only craft option I have seen. Hopefully Delta raises the bar for the other big carriers.
