Last weekend I flew to ICN from SFO on United. They are now serving Goose IPA on board. Before they had Goose 312. Although Goose IPA is not one of my favorite IPA's it tasted really good 35,000 ft above heading to Korea. Had 4 cans heading over and another 5 coming back.

What's the liquor laws like up in the air? Based on the outbound (departing) region? Does it have to be distributed in both inbound and outbound regions to be fly worthy?

It seems like every outbound flight out of NYC could have NY area brews specifically, say Sixpoint or Brooklyn, and on the way in, have beers from the origins?. Then at some point throughout the week/month, merge them into being sold at both times? Then again, people in say PHX don't want what they can already have at home. But they may enjoy beers from where they are headed.

At the end of the day, the price always deters me but I'm interested why Airlines haven't picked up on this trend yet. I think more people would be willing to drop $7 on a local regional product than a Sam Adams they can get anywhere.
