Actually found this thread doing a Google for "Breakaway craft beer".

My wife and I sailed on the NCL Sky out of Miami to the Bahamas in 2012 and I remember lamenting about the beer selection both on board the ship and on the islands. On the Sky I drank a lot of mixed drinks - vodka tonics and whatever the drink of the day was. Also had the occasional Sam Adams as it was the most appealing beer on the ship. While on the islands I drank a metric butt load of rum punch/swizzle and a few Bush Cracks (which were not good but drinkable). On the islands I'll also find a bartender I like and ask them to make me one of their signature drinks.

We are sailing on the Breakaway to Bermuda in October and I was praying NCL added a craft beer since my last sailing. I've seen some unconfirmed reports of Brooklyn Lager being aboard but all of my searching is turning up the usual selections. I know that for the Escape (Breakaway Plus class ship) NCL is adding some sort of brew bar.

My sister and her husband sailed on RCL last year and he was texting me photos of him drinking 90 Minute. Son of a bitch.

If I found 90 minute on the island, I'd shit bricks. That said, I'm looking into checking a bag on the plane with a few key choices. Not sure I could go 5 days sans good craft beer.

Wanted to update this thread as I visited Exuma last week, which was absolutely beautiful.

Unfortunately, the first few days I could only find Kalik & Sands which as everyone mentioned before was terrible.

Last day, I stumbled upon a duty free store that had cans of Pirate Republic beer. I tried the Kolsch, Witbier & IPA. Kolsch and Witbier were solid and the IPA was OK but unremarkable. Anyway I would have drank the Pirate Republic stuff the whole time over any other beer I found there. So look for that if you can find it while in the Bahamas.

Pirate Republic makes some good beers, and right outside the cruise terminal in Nassau.

I've seen pictures of people drinking Funky Buddha in the Bahamas. I wonder if the country's beer selection has gotten any better since this thread was started?
