Oh look somebody in Florida talking about a CA local not offering beer to the CA public and instead trading them to people in places like Florida.

My comments pertain to the store. I have never has any problems with the staff at Plaza Market. They have kind and courteous giving me advice on beer selections. They have a wide selection and their prices are comparable to other places.

Were you at Fig Poppa? A friend of mine at the front of the line said there was heaps of jumpers that came out of the woodwork once doors opened. He called one of them out but no-one else spoke up except one person saying 'good job'.

This doesn't have anything to to do with CBK unless they have been guilty of doing this.... but #linecuttingmulezbro in general, Shit aint cool.

Ive only had good experiences whenever I've been there. If you don't like the guy, then just shop somewhere else. I dont understand the big deal.

We do choose to buy beer elsewhere. But it seems that if you've had a bad experience with them at the store or their pompous narcissistic egos at beer events, that you're just some hater if you mention it in a thread discussing it.

What's the big deal in sharing the (bad) experiences had?

I'm just surprised at all the negative responses since all of my experiences have been positive online and in person.

Post whatever you want, but really the productive thing would be to BM him since he responded on the thread already.

I saw it mentioned in this thread that Distiller's Outlet was in the same boat. The few times I have been there I didn't notice that kind of vibe and Dave seemed pretty cool.

Course maybe when I first went there and told him I was recommended to check out his place from BA I unknowingly slipped myself into an inner-circle.

Of course it is far, and it is hot in Poway, so I will stick with Plaza as it is right down the street and just a tad bit less hot in Mira Mesa.

I also never understood their membership.... they charge between $200-$349 for a discount and the option to buy some "special beers".... seriously? no beer included? do people actually spend that blindly? no list of what you'll get to buy, just pay and pray? they charge more than a bruery rs membership, but the rs membership includes its initial cost in beer, the discount you receive from the bruery is the icing on the cake. but with cbk its the whole, invisible cake.

It comes witht that spiffy "keep calm and drink like a king shirt" that allows you cut @ bottle releases and access to the whalez shop owners keep in the back. Totally worth the $$$

HAHAHAHA holy shit. I never even bothered to look at those memberships. Wow. Look up douchy in the dictionary now and you have to see some long bearded car dealership money face.

I guess that explains where any of the decent beer goes that would normally be on the shelf for walk in's. And here I thought it all went to trading away for 3L bottles of RR.

There have been only 2 left for over a week. My guess is that there is an unlimited supply but putting "zomg only 2 left, what do ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" it will get suckers to buy it.

I'm no lawyer, but I think there could be some potential legal issues with this. I know that in CA costco has to let non-members come into the store to by alcohol (but they can't buy anything else) because there are some state laws that make it illegal to require a membership to buy alcohol. I would say that things like the Bruery RS, and wine memberships, etc. don't fall under this category because you actually get product, along with the opportunity to make other purchases. With no product being part of this membership, wouldn't be surprised if this was actually illegal.

I never knew that about costco. And here I have been sitting outside usually eating a hotdog thinking, "Damn, I really want a PB milk stout but no card to go in."

you have to go up to the membership counter and tell them you only want to purchase alcohol, and they'll give you a temp pass to enter the store to purchase alcohol only.
