In Knoxville, TN area for a few days. Any good places to find craft beer around here? Saw Bearden Beer Market in an old thread. Anything else? Thanks in advance!
BBM is good for low gravity beers. Great hangout, great BA's running it. If you're looking for HG, you have to go to liquor stores to find it here in TN. I like Faragut Wine and Spirits and McScrooges. Suttrie's down town has a great selection on tap, but must admint I have not been there yet. Hopefully some other Knoxville BA's will add some options. Good luck.
Downtown Grill and Brewery: Beer is ok. Food is better, and the place has a nice atmosphere. Suttree's High Gravity Tavern: Just across the street from Downtown Grill. They usually have a solid tap list. Good atmosphere, and probably your best chance to find something unique on draft. The Casual Pint: Around the corner from the two places mentioned above. Friendly service and usually a nice lineup of stuff on draft. They're also a bottle shop, but skip that and just hang out at the bar. In the Old City: Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria: Good pizza. Large selection of taps, but some servers/bartenders won't really know much about beer. Crown and Goose: Expensive, but excellent food and great atmosphere. Go here if you like drinking things like Fullers ESB on draft. Enjoy your visit. Edit: Bearden Beer Market is nice, too. They have a beer garden. Go there if you're after bottles.
