And Microbrew was (is) a whole lot better than "Boutique Brewery" that pre-dated it.

Lol, no. Again, you are focusing too much on that word, sorry you don't like it, and no I don't use it for that purpose. I can guarantee anyone who I actually ever have said that word to isn't getting all bent out of shape and judgmental about it because they know in the context I'm using it I don't mean it that way at all as I don't come off as that type of person. This isn't a script that I say, it was an example. I give away more free beer to friends and guests than most, in an effort to let people try new things. I don't look down on people who drink what they like. The only time I give people shit, is when they are my friends, and it's all in good fun as a Ford and Chevy debate would be. If it pleases the court, I'll make sure when this conversation comes up again, that I omit the word connoisseur to avoid confusion about my actual occupation.

Originally I believe microbrewery started as more of a self-labeled term by the new, smaller breweries that started up. It wasn't until later that the BA "defined" it, and subsequently re-defined it with "craft."

Something about reading all these examples of BAs being judged for not drinking what everyone else is drinking just gets me a little riled up.
