Hey, I'm not bitter here, I just am a debater. haha, my 'defensive' response could just as easily be due to what I could say is an "offensive" reaction. All good man, cheers.

haha, now you're reminding me of my old boss who always loved a good 'debate'. We were good friends at the time, and we fought like an old married couple.

Haha, no, but every one of my teachers from elementary through college always said that is where I should be.

But many of them grew past microbrew to regional status, so it doesnt apply to the group.

"Fancy shit" was the typical adj. used by most of my college friends the past 4 years. When girls tried it though it turned into that "bitter shit". Yes I do like my IPA a bitter bitch.

I appear to be in the minority, but almost all the beer drinkers I know are either craft-only, or like my neighbour who likes his Molson cheap stuff most of the time but also really appreciates Great Lakes and Bison Brewery on occasion. (He drinks Molson while watching hockey )

    But compared to BMC.....
Besides, there were many that were already at or well past regional status and a few that were at national status well before 'microbrew' fell out of favor.
And it's my preference. I never said or inferred anyone else had to like or agree with it.

I still use microbrew myself, but I try to apply it to the small guys.

I wish the BA would define nanonbrewery. I guess I could do it myself (and have), but a consensus on what it means would be nice. Im going with under 1k bbls per year.

    Edit: And not a brewpub.

Even if there's a definition, chances are most people will misuse the term or not know what the hell it means anyway. And this is doubly true for non-micro/craft brew drinkers. My advice is to find a term that you and your beer drinking friends are comfortable with and stick with that. At least you'll know what each other is talking about.

Well that's when you respond, without missing a beat, "No. I think you mean Moose Drool!"

Doesn't it also refer to a "one man operation?"

I still enjoy a High Life on the golf course. And I've been known to shotgun a PBR or 2 at parties. Gotta maintain some street cred.

Well, the definition is obvious (at least to anyone about my age...) It is a brewery on Ork. :sunglasses:
