So we are leaving for our annual summer trip to Cape Cod tomorrow. I usually go to Lukes or whatever local stores are in the area to get beer but I can never seem to find a place with a decent craft selection. We are staying in West Dennis but if anyone knows where I can find a decent selection it would be much appreciated.

check out Cranberry Liquors in Harwichport, right on rt. 28. Yes Lukes does have decent selection but, its more of a cross-section of the big US craft beers, which is OK but it tends to leave me, I don't know, bored? Cranberry leans more New England and has a better 22 oz bomber selection. (And dare i say it better Bourbon & single-malt Scotch?)

    FWIW….

Second Cranberry and if you go towards Hyannis moonshine liquors (the old grain and vine) has a great selection too .

Cedarville Wine and Spirits in Plymouth would be well worth a stop to stock up before you go over the bridge. They definitely care about craft beer there and have a better selection than anywhere on the Cape itself that I've seen. They are just one exit from the Sagamore bridge.

Ring Bros has a decent selection as does the store in the Stop & Shop Plaza across the street (have to admit that I've been there numerous times and have no clue on the name but the sign is obvious). "Decent" in Cape terms. Cranberry has the best variety but you need to be pretty careful on bottling dates there (as you do at the other two places I mentioned). End of summer like this you are probably better than other times of the year since their sales volume should be up. Hurts selection but probably helps with slightly fresher beer.

If you're in Hyannis at all, check out Cape Cod Beer. The only brewery on The Cape, and nice folks to boot.
