Good deal. Get people to stop responding so this thread falls off. Thanks for your opinions.

Can't stand the handwringing that is becoming prevalent in this hobby. Sorry to overestimate the threads.

Not trying to be a dick man, this has just been discussed ad nauseum around here. People can be hypocritical, but also a lot of people really don't care if a brewery "sells out", the people who do care just tend to be louder and, as a result, it makes it seem like there are more of them than there really are. Lots of neckbeards trying to reinforce how cool they are by going against the establishment.

If beer tastes good, I'm going to buy and drink it regardless of it's source. All of the BCBS stuff is damn fine, IMO, so I'm going to consume it when possible. ABInbev doesn't traditionally get my money because their products tend to suck, but if they have a good product, I'm happy to consume it.

I see people saying "I don't get why you won't drink something just because of where it comes from." Well, I don't get how a person can have no sense of business ethics when making purchases. If a company is going to put your own money to use against your own interests, you should refuse to give them your money.

Count me among those who have sworn off the BCBS line, despite how good the beers are. I could not possibly continue to support a company that would use my very own money to try to squash my favorite craft breweries.

I will happily be drinking Black Tuesday this winter instead.

I'll keep drinking Goose Island beers when offered. However, I'll only buy Goose Island beer that is brewed in Chicago.

Yep, that's where I am as well. I'd like to believe that I am an advocate for beer, not a political statement. Seems fairly first world to be wrapped up in ownership of a brewery to the point where it creates actual angst. Now if you REALLY want to know what's wrong with business / country / world - I'll be glad to share, but in my never at all humble opinion, beer is and will remain an enjoyable pastime for me without critical social, ethical and moral dissection. The moment it becomes something tedious or unnecessarily emotional, I'd probably switch back to Scotch and Bourbon.

The guy down the block is rumored to be a ********* but I don't care, his home brew's awesome.

If InBev makes the best tasting beer, I'd buy it. And Bourbon County beers are in that category.

There's a lot of craft beer that sucks, and I don't buy those just for the sake of buying them.
