    Hi all,

I'm headed to Killington next week for business and would like to pick up some bottles of local stuff to take home with me. Anyone know of a good place for craft beer in the area? I wish I would have time to head more north but my schedule doesn't allow for me to do it.

    Cheers,

    Bill

To the best of my knowledge there are no bottleshops in Killington, but if you drive south on Rt. 100 to Ludlow you will find Brewfest Beverage, they have a very nice selection of beers and they also do growler fills. Also not to far from Killington is the Long Trail Brewery in Bridgewater Corners. Hope this helps ......

There are two small stores, one at the bottom of the Killington access road and one on the access road that have had a decent beer selection in the past (read not great) but will get you some decent drinking beers while staying there.

For traveling beers I'd recommend that if you're coming up from the Rutland side (NY side) you can stop at Terrill St. Beverage to see what they've got. If coming from the I-91 side (NH side), stop at Brewfest as InspectorBob mentions. Some beers to look for are cans of Fiddlehead, bottles of Backacre. Not sure where you're coming from, but if you don't get them, check out Long Trail Limbo which is a pretty legit IPA and Otter Creek has some tasty beers like Overgrown right now. Harpoon brewery is a great stop for food & beer as well if traveling the I-91 corridor. VT is actually a great state to explore Oregon micros as well because for an interesting distro reason, we get an amazing selection of select OR brews.

Hey, all. I'm heading up this weekend, too.
Where should I go to buy bottles of local stuff within 30-45 mins of Killington/ Rutland?

I've been to about half of the breweries in the state before, and I'm not trying to score any of the tourist trap beers... just shopping around. Thoughts?

On Rt. 4 in Woodstock is Hops N' Barley a nice store that seems to have a pretty good inventory. He doesn't get Heady but is now getting Lawson's SOS but it doesn't last long.
