I could care less, let people drink what they like.

Right? Only on here do you find people wanting to discuss drinking beer while in the shower. Which I find quite amusing / rediculous and borderline alcoholism. But to each their own I most always say...

The only reason I would like to see craft get more popular is to increase it's availability and decrease the price. As it stands, there are plenty of places I can go and I'm lucky enough to have the money, so it's not a big deal to me.

I could care less what other people drink.

Only reason I've ever had a beer in the shower is because I was already drinking while doing sweaty labor around the house or yard and just took it into the shower with me. That would seem to be a sign of a problem.

I'm okay with a bucket of Bud light lime or Corona while sitting on the deck of a cruise ship in the Caribbean. Not having my favorite craft beer is not going to hurt my trip!

Plus, with the amount of advertising that Macro does, that is where a majority of people get their knowledge about beer. "never let it get warm", "always keep it ice cold and drink it ice cold" is all that they know. If they never go out and kind of do their own research or look past the 30 racks to find that the world of craft beer is very expansive. It's very easy for the macro lovers to stay with what they know.

Maybe so but total BMC numbers outweigh "us" in all categories.
We just tend to be more self actualized :sunglasses:

What do you mean by "total BMC numbers"? Sure, there are more BMC drinkers than craft drinkers, but that's what's being discussed here. I have never seen data regarding the percentages of people that drink to excess broken out by people who drink exclusively macro and people who drink exclusively craft. If such data exists, I'd like to have a look (and I'd especially like to have a look at their methodology). Until then, I stand by my claim that it is quite possible that it is the craft drinkers that are more likely to drink excessively than the macro drinkers.

This backlash against the backlash is pretty funny. I really dislike the "why do people care so much" mentality though. I don't know why it's uncool to care. I've worked in craft beer and the industry supports many people whose lives and work I love and cherish dearly. Are we going to take down the macro breweries with our passion!? No. Do I hate macro drinkers!? No. But Im not ever going to take pride in supporting a macro brewery and it's a real shame that anybody on this site does.

Do I not belong here because when I am hot and sweaty I would rather have a glass of ice water than a lite beer? It seems to me there are lots of alternatives to craft beer besides lite beers.

I think the shift to foods and beverages that are more natural, produced with more human artisanship, and produced inthe same places they are consumed, wth strong ties between producers and consumers, is a very heartening trend. I hope to see it continue.

Too each their own I say. In addition so far no beer/ brewery I really enjoy has folded up so I'm happy and the other gut is happy too.

Sorry if I misled you - I agree with your premise that craft drinkers (are at the top of their game) tend to overdo it

BMC/ micro/ nano/ pico/homebrew/all grain/BIAB/Extract drink what you want. I wont slag what you are drinking and expect the same from you. If you ask me my opinion i will freely give it and it might be blunt and slightly jarring but well informed , and if you disagree then more power to you.
10% is pretty damn good in my books.
