Their website says they will be closed the first two weeks of the Texas State Fair but doesn't mention why - anyone know? Last year I enjoyed walking across the street and enjoying a good beer while waiting for DART to take me home after whirling rides and fried foods.
Likely because their parking lot is used for the fair, which makes it a pain for most people to get there. They may have just decided to close and take vacation time instead of dealing with the hassle.
It's possible, but I figured the fair-goers would stick to the fair (and then be broke and in a sugar coma after all the fair food, games, etc). The easy way to get a real answer is to just ask them.
Talked to Kevin last night and he said that its hard for people to get to the location with high cost of parking and he was going to take a vacation. They don't lose money during that time but dont make us much as they normally do.
Was a pain last year. I dont see why they dont just open for the evening. Parking was fine later in the day.
