    Using a blend of hops lessens the change if one of the hops is different from the last harvest.

    It's more important to brew consistent beers with changing brewers. Hops are somewhat consistent but new brewers can reek havoc rebooting a recipe. The use or overuse of hops for flavor is a deep dive in the weeds.
