I'll be there as a VIP as well. They have some insane stuff on the VIP beer list. Stein & Dine on Saturday and Crafts & Drafts on Sunday. Looks like it'll be a beer filled weekend!
I'll be there also. Interested in seeing the new venue at Hart Park in Tosa. Any idea what the Cantillon will be?
I'm doing the VIP. Anyone know how many VIP tasting tickets you get and how many tickets it costs per pour? Probably varies I'm assuming.
I would say its well worth it from my experience last year. Also, no need to get a VIP ticket in order to have access to a VIP beer. You can purchase seperate tasting tickets. Its just a better deal to do the VIP if you plan on trying numerous VIP beers...if that makes sense
Event was amazing! I would even say improved from last year. I will definitely continue to go to this event every year.
First time going to this, and they did a very nice job with it. Had nice conversations with many of the brewery owners (Black Husky, Milwaukee Brewing, etc.). Also talked with a guy from Russian River (the owner?) who was wandering around. The only thing I would have liked to see was higher quantities on some of the rarer VIP beers. There was a whole 3 bottles of Baller Stout, which I was lucky enough to get one of the last pours of. Completely missed Blackfist, so there must not have been much of it. O'so ran out right away but that's understandable since those were a ~200 bottle run from last year. Overall, there was a crazy amount of quality beers. Many of the up-and-coming breweries and homebrewers had phenomonal stuff. I'll be back next year for sure.
The guy in the kilt knocked me out last year (don't tell him he wears a nice dress) so I skipped it this year lol. Next year I'll be back! Sounds like they stepped it up this year.
I had a game plan of trying Blackfist, Darkness, and Baller stout when I 1st went in. It was a good thing that I went to Blackfist 1st because it seemed to sell out in like 20 minutes! Didn't realize that Baller also ran out so quickly as it was my 3rd pour. I agree that they should have a little more on hand to at least somewhat get through the hour.
Anyone see the bad ass black Three Floyd's vests that one couple was wearing? I thought they were some biker gang at first
Hell yeah, they were cool people! Discount put on a hell of a show....for those that missed Blackfist, you didn't miss much. Boozy for the sake of being boozy....meh. Bourbon Barrel WWS was excellent! I was glad everyone was going for the Baller Stout, gave me an opportunity to get multiple pours of the WWS. O'so sours were also excellent and kick yourself if you didn't sample any of the MobCraft beers....so good! I thought Muellner (sp?) Hall was an excellent choice for the venue, they should have had better signage for the food upstairs though. Goodkind puts out some awesome grub. I will definitely be going to this every year.
Off-topic and all, but I cannot wait for the restaurant to open. Had some of their (and Hinterlands) sausages during the CW tap takeover and DAMN. So fucking good.
I didnt try any but smelled them cooking by the Brandyland garage, smelled soooo good....one of my buddies did get one and said it was delicious!
