Unfortunately it's retired but Crazy Ed's Cave Creek Chili Beer would be perfect. Drank a few sips of this and I think ate away at the lining of my stomach for a week.

I hope you've only imagined what that tastes like.

If you can get anything at all from this brewery, do it for crappy beer night:

(BTW, they also brew under the name "Ballistic Brewing")

While I think the idea is silly, what the heck, toss in a Short's Spruce Pilsner.

Love Short's but that beer should do pretty well in a bad beer tasting

Six Points Rad. Second Anything from Kentucky Bourbon Barrel series; all suck and should be offensive to anyone from that state. All gluten free beers, I especially hate Sprecher versions. Terrible, like saccharin or something.

Totally agree 100%. This beer is a mess.

As fun as this is, without any kind of theme besides "crappy" and without people doing distribution research or seasonal availability checks, this is pretty much the "What's the worst beer you've ever had" thread.

I vote just to do a gluten free beer tasting. You'll get plenty of crap, but the odd good one will help buoy your spirits.

Not sure if you get Magic Hat in Iowa, but whatever nasty seasonal they've got out would be good for a laugh. If you can find some Wacko (has beets in it, looks like straight up fake blood), that's of the best.

You probably already know this (and may already have some in your crappy tasting lineup), but any beer from CIB. Just awful!! Personally, I'd go with Morningwood Breakfast Stout from them, for that nice cough syrup taste you'll be looking for!

Oh we are aware. Gotta find somewhere that has them marked down though. I'm thinking Ryan at Fleur may?

    No joke...my boss's favorite beer.

Edit to clarify: I was referring to Wild Blue Lager.

Fleur would be a good bet. I also know Blake at Prairie Trail has some a while back and I think he had them marked down.

A number of Mikkeller and Fantome beers fall into this category, but they're expensive to get just for a tasting. If you already have them, they can be a fun change of pace in a tasting of otherwise good beers.
