I liked the Sweet Baby Jesus :flushed:

But agreed on 5 Golden Rings. Awful. Had it at the end of the night on Christmas after drinking some damn good beers...almost ruined the night.

Agreed, had one a few nights ago, and while I thought it was a little thin, the flavor wasn't bad at all. I'm spoiled by having Peche Mortel available all the time and it's one of my favorites...but still, it wasn't THAT bad.

I don't like bashing craft brewers, but any beer from Horny Goat should definitely be considered

In my short craft brew drinking time I have DP'd three beers, I think anyone of them would work:
    1: Bent Dark Fatha
    2: Indeed Hotbox
    3: Stone Smoked Porter-Chipolte

The more I think about this, the happier I am that I'm not invited.

Man, I have to agree about the Tavern Spruce. Yards does some fine beer, but they really ought to ditch that one, historic roots not withstanding. Make that killer Black Rye IPA they did a couple of years ago a regular instead.

Cave Creek Chili Beer should be bad enough to fit your parameters, but should you be able to get it Smuttynose Wheatwine count your blessings. It almost makes me convulse and not in a good way.

Old Fezziwig. Used to buy the SA winter samplers for Christmas parties, and this was always what was left. Just a flat unpleasant beer, IMHO.

Haha SA Cherry Wheat is my guilty pleasure. I kinda like it. It's not too bad.

I know I'm gonna get my head bitten off but I hate Yeti. I just can't get down with super hoppy stouts. I wanna like it so bad. Every time I drink it I hate it. BRING ON THE TEN FIDY
