Spotted Cow is my favorite and may be the best sessionable beer in the US. People in WI are lucky to have this so readily available (along with the NG fruit/sours). I am also a huge fan of SixPoint's Sweet Action as a beer, but honestly it is a very strange beer to classify (really the label description nails it) and not really fitting the mold of a Cream Ale IMO. I'd almost call it closer to an American pale ale.

Third Street Brewery in Minnesota has a fairly decent one called "Rise to the Top".

As much as I love, love Sweet Action, it's not a cream ale in the traditional style.

Spotted Cow is far from my favorite New Glarus, but I'm sure it's a good example of the style. It's literally everywhere you look around here. Moon Man blows it out of the water in my opinion when it comes to their regular lineup.

Greenbush here in Michigan has one called Traktor that I had on tap back on Easter. Ridiculously smooth and delicious. I haven't seen it around in bottles too much.

Definitely one style I can do without. Just not enough there for me.

I'll just leave them on the shelves for the rest of you!

I've had Spotted Cow. Top 5 for sure wish it came in 16oz cans.

Grey Sail Flagship is great and I think you should be able to get it in Mass.

Up here in CT you can still find a sixer or two of City Steam's now retired Crème de la Crème. Along with the aforementioned Sixpoint's Sweet Action, its a pretty solid representation of the style.

never was a big cream ale fan. I do like sweet action..... but then i had Carton Regular Coffee for the first time, and my whole opinion on the style was changed,

as far as year round sweet action is my favorite, but over all regular coffee is my favorite

Gotta go with Pelican Kiwanda Cream Ale. Easy drinking, low ABV, and perfect for the summer.

thanks crew....back in 2005 when we first made this beer, someone asked us, "what style of beer is this?" Well, we hadn't really thought of the marketing behind it, just the formulation...due to the technique and process, it was put into the cream ale category...to this day, you can't quite put your finger on what Sweet Action is, but we're still brewing it! cheers

Got this as an extra in a trade! Wow, it was surprisingly delicious. Smooth finish, with a little creamy flavor. YUM
