I have built up a nice collection that I've been wanting to somehow use in the cellar, but haven't been able to come up with any great ideas for what to do with them. I figured somebody on here has probably made something cool from them. Any thoughts?

I was camping in Mazatlan in the late 70s and a beer truck would come by once a day. You could by a case and there was a punch out checker board. We would use the bottle caps as the checkers.

Ive also seen people make glass top tables by cutting or buying a table with a slighty ditched central area and fill it with caps and put glass pane over it.

A dab of super glue and a small magnet on the underside = fridge magnet

I was wondering the same thing as I had saved a whole bunch of caps. I came across a place that was selling shadow boxes, I think they are called. I just cut a slot in the top big enough to drop caps in and made a display out of them.

I'm going to make magnets out of the originals, all my doubles or more are in jars. It actually looks pretty cool and is fun to go through once in a while.

The magnets from the bottom of the shower curtain fit bottle caps perfectly and you don't need glue and then you can switch them around if you have something new that was incredible or went on vacation somewhere fun that you want to remember via the bottle cap. Much cooler than standard tourist magnets.

My grand daughter keeps all my 3 Floyds bottle caps because they are pink. I have no idea what she does with them.

I like the beer cap maps, looks like a great conversation piece or an amazing addition to a man cave....Gotta get me one of those...

I added a magnet to mine and stuck them on the underside of the heat ductwork that runs along the ceiling of my basement man cave. I think I'm around 3,500 of them now, and have space for about 150-200 more and then i'm done.

I spray painted some 1" wide thin steel strips that I got at Home Depot and screwed them
into the walls above the bar and around the doorways. Picked up magnets in bulk and every time I get a new cap, up it goes.[IMG]

What is this quarter trick you speak of? I have been collecting bottle caps for a little over a year now but I have bent most of the ones I taken off.

I place a quarter on top on the cap. Keeping it on. And when i go to remove the cap the quarter prevents the cap from bending in the center if you edge around with the opener until its open.
