Creature Comforts in Atlanta?

Don't you just love stupid laws? Are the shops around Athens usually well stocked?

 

@jkinzey go to Kroger to get the Trop. They usually have quite a bit and a decent selection of other stuff

Last batch will go out 4th week of August (brewing it right now), so depending on how tightly allocated it is, it will be around some places through the first few weeks of September.

I guess it's not wise to check Athena on a Saturday. Trop out of stock everywhere. Need to acquire some for a trade

 

Thank goodness my local shop can usually keep Tropicalia in stock for more than a couple hours/days/weeks.

Tropicalia has certainly become a hot commodity in it's pretty tiny distro.

 

I assume you meant Athens not Athena. You can get a 6er at the brewery but I also assume you were probably like me and got a tart cherry athena crowler or 2 instead. I may be going up mid-week to get some for my South Florida trip. I will snag you some if I find it. I'll send ya a text if I find it.

 

I just did my search around Athens and the only place(from the ones I checked) that have some is Perry's on North Ave (dated 7/15). There's about 2 cases left.

Did some more hunting for something else today and saw more Tropicalia. Perry's on Cedar Shoals (the gas station hybrid that also has growler fills) has a few six packs left. I think it was dated 7/9.

 

Anybody know any growler shops that have Cosmic Debris for fills? Heading down to West Palm Beach next week and would love to have a CD growler to compare to some tropicalia at this tasting we're having.

 

@HopDawg03 If I were to guess I think all the CD is done for the season. Short lived, but when they are not pouring it at the brewery then that tells you something. Goodluck, hope a growler shop has been sitting on a keg.

 

Did they have much stock in cans? Might be able to grab some Friday night or Saturday morning if any is left, if not I will resort to a growler fill. Anywhere else in Macon to look for cans of Tropicalia as well?

 

If you find yourself in Macon between 4-6 on a Friday, Ocmulgee Traders (local grocery store downtown) has BOGO pints during happy hour and currently has Tropicalia on tap. That's right, 2 pints of Tropicalia for $5.
