OK guys will be camping at least 2 days at Panther Flats campground in the Redwood Forest. I am totally surprised at the lack of craft beer in far north Cali. I see Port O'Pints and Seaquake in Crescent City...not much to go on as far as these places. Any one been and is there anything else or will i be heading north to Gods Own Beer Country and the 3 or 4 breweries in Brookings?
Six Rivers maybe..but no further have loads to do in the Redwoods with kids. Just surprised this far north corner hasnt taken off as far as god beer
Six Rivers is by far the worst brewery in Humboldt County. I like Wild River. Nothing too outrageous about them. Please report back on the Crescent City breweries... Not too many of are brave enough to venture up there to that weird ass town, it's been quite a while since I wandered through.
Port O' Pints is definitely worth a visit - enjoyed it on a busy weekend night, great crowd, great bartender.
It's not call Crescent Shitty for nothing. Agree with danscott, Six Rivers is completely skip-able. If you're gonna come down that far go the extra few minutes to Arcata to Redwood Curtain or Blue Lake to Mad River.
OK..reviving this ancient thread. I was in Crescent City yesterday and i found both SeaQuake and Port O' Pints quite acceptable. Beers i had were not bad and the people were very friendly, especially POP. The ois still pretty ran down though
