Will be up in Crested Butte for a family ski trip Feb 25 - Mar 1. Needing recs on places to try and hit up for good beers. Preferably local.
Brick oven pizzeria and pub. It's been a few years, but I remember being impressed with their tap list for being in a mtn town. Can't remember my opinion of their pizza - the tap list may have had something to do with that
I'll second the recommendation for Brick Oven. They have by far the best tap list I have found in Crested Butte. I'm not a big fan of the food, the better pizza is at Secret Stash just down the street, but their beer list is awesome and they have a good cellar list. I wouldn't recommend the Eldo (currently the only brewery taproom in town), the couple times I have been there, their beer has been pretty bad. Camp Irwin is a new brewery that is based in Crested Butte and is distributing around town even though they don't have a taproom yet. Haven't tried their beer yet, but I'm hoping to when I'm up there next weekend. If you find yourself in Gunnison during the trip, High Alpine Brewing offers some solid beers too. Overall, I haven't found too many places with a super stellar tap list in Crested Butte. Enjoy your trip Crested Butte is a great town and one of my favorite ski areas.
