Any updates? Hoping to hit them up next week ... sent an email today so I hope to hear back. Anyone else know how close they are to being open?

Well it doesn't look like they made the early 2014 opening. Let's hope for early 2015!

On a side note ... I wonder if they ever talked to Stone Brewing Co. about their name. Seems both breweries filed for "Crime & Punishment" around the same time but obviously Stone has been using it for several years now.

Given that Stone doesn't use "Crime and Punishment" in a single product name, there is probably sufficient distinction to avoid any legal liability.

I live a couple blocks from where they're planning to open. Their opening dates have been pushed back several times so far, which from what I understand is typical for Philadelphia. The space is very small, and with the demand for restaurants/bars in the Brewerytown area, I expect it to be crowded if/when they do open. They've had a few open house/fundraiser nights and I've gotten to try a few of their beers. Some of them were decent, and their double IPA was pretty good; however at their most recent Christmas event I was disappointed. I believe they are still brewing on a smaller/stepped up homebrew system, so hopefully once they get their real brewing system up and running things will smooth out. It would be awesome to have a good brewpub so close to my house, so I'm hoping they are able to produce some quality beers.

here's an older article/interview with one of the owners: http://www.newsworks.org/index.php/...698-brewerytown-going-back-to-its-sudsy-roots

No word from them ... all the best on their opening, perhaps next time we go to Philly.
