Didn't know this was happening but found a nice selection of Crooked Stave at Manchester Wine & Spirits today. Vielle, Surette, Autumn Surette, St. Bretta, Table Beer, Origins, and Nightmare on Brett. I have heard that other stores will be getting shipments tomorrow (Harvest) and next week.
Yeah. Beer guy at Kay's Wine and Spirits said they would be getting their stuff next week. Great to have them in CT
I picked up Nightmare on Brett and Surette today from Manchester W&L. Their beer is gonna be pricey...but damn that Nightmare on Brett was good. Lucky to have that available.
Yeah, this one came from out of the blue as far as i can tell. The brewery is pretty small so i assume they've increased capacity. I wouldn't think CT would be on their expansion list but happy we are.
I picked up a couple today at CT Bev Mart on the Berlin Turnpike. I have had Surette and a Brett IPA before and really liked them so I'm glad to see their stuff in CT! Just finished the St. Bretta autumn citrus wildbier with naval oranges and LOVED it. Really, really good beer!
need to find nightmare on brett & origins. it's a pain in fairfield county. had surette - it was awesome. gonna crack vielle soon.
I found a nightmare in brett at CT bev mart in Newington a few days ago, I think they still have more but not sure
Thanks. They only had that and it's a bit far from me. Appreciate it tho. Got lucky and found some closer.
we got Vieille and Surette here in Middlesex, nightmare was all gone there was only a handful of cases that went out
Just so nobody gets their jimmies unduly rustled...Urban Grape/Hops got Crooked Stave's Table Beer, which is the latest iteration of a low-gravity Belgian-style ale being produced by a number of brewers who are distributed under the 12% portfolio. (Westbrook did one, as did Evil Twin, etc etc.) Table Beer is a very good beer in its own right, but it is NOT one of Crooked Stave's normal selections, and I imagine that a number of higher-tier retailers received Table Beer throughout Metro Boston--Marty's, for which I am the buyer, certainly did, and I believe both CBC Belmont and Newton did as well. Just wanted to clear that up before people start swarming Urban Grape demanding that they bring their Nightmare on Brett out of the back room (although by all means, swarm them for being a great beer store!)
Still plenty around from what I see...no Nightmare since the first shipment that I've seen but I've seen the others all over the place. Surette, Vieille, St. Bretta (LOVE this one). specifically, saw some at CT bev mart Newington today.
