One important note. It's cash only for the bottle release.

They said that about the Batch 100 release too, but they accepted cards. Not saying that will necessarily be the case today, but it seems like it's a way to at least have a lot of people bringing cash.

How many bottles are being released? Do their releases typically sell out?

They haven't said, and no. But then again, it'll be more crowded with everyone in town for GABF.

The limit is 1 case per person. Sounds like they have plenty to go around.

With people in town for GABF I would expect this to last until Friday at the latest.

Is this beer still a renamed Cherry Origins?

Essentially, yes. It's a burgundy sour ale (origins).

I know the earlier tap versions were supposedly a rebrand of this: http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/25191/100027/
This one simply says "oak barrels" rather than bourbon, so I wasn't sure if this was new or revised.

They released Origins B2 during GABF last year. About 100 people showed up for the release. I went there thinking they were going to sell out. Take a look at their cooler to see how that prediction turned out....

I'll be heading up there next week after the GABF crowds die down to pick up some of their momma's cherries.

There were also only about 30 people there for the Batch 100 release... I have a feeling this will be a bit different, hopefully not, but feasibly.

The beertenders were confident that they wouldn't sell out tonight. It was a madhouse (as expected). The beer is phenomenal though. Can't imagine it lasting long with a one case limit but no clue how many cases there are. Looking forward to future awesome releases that aren't during GABF week.

The line moved quickly. After about 30-40 mins you could walk up and buy a case with no line.

They said that they wouldn't run out. If that was for today, this week or ever, I'm not sure. I had the Petite Apricot and Pomegranate, and the Batch 100. But didn't stay long.....that place is a cage and drab, worse when crowded :grimacing:

I stopped in on Tuesday and had the Petite Sour Apricot (IMO it's the best variation) and the Pomegranate. Apricot was great.

I couldn't make it until 5:45 or so today, walked in, bought my bottles and left after what appeared to be an impossible crowd to work through just to get a taste of something. Nothing so out of the norm on the tap list even, although they were doing the special tapping of the collab at 6pm, anybody get that? How was it?
