Got this email about a barreling/bottling/bottle shop locale and the next Reserve Society release It's been more then a few weeks since our last release, but once again we have another Cellar Reserve beer bottled, labeled, corked and wax dipped! We decided to go fancy , as well I have a few up dates to cover. Some of the members asked if each beer we release including the larger batches which hit the store shelves could be made available to members to purchase on-line. Ideally we'd have a taproom (I promise I'm working daily on making that happen!) this would normally be very easy as bottles could be purchased in the taproom. So I've decided to go ahead and allow online sales. We currently have one beer, the new batch of Petite Sour that we are distributing so that beer is available to members, at a discount as well. There is no bottle limit for Petite Sour, just give your trustees a heads up on the amount of beer they will be picking up if you order Petite Sour bottles. I will be making each beer we release available on our website. All bottles will only be available for pick up at our releases. If your trustee is unable to make it to either release then we'll be holding all allocations till the next release. We are working on an intermediate location, a sort of barrel aging/bottling warehouse in Denver, where we could set up a mini-bottle shop at which time members are welcome to stop in anytime to pick up allocations and purchase bottles. The next beer that will be out for normal distribution will be our Surette Reserva, this is not the Chardonnay barrel version which is a Cellar Reserve exclusive, but a larger batch which aged in our large foeder. I'll send out a newsletter when those bottles go on-sale on the website. For now visit http://store.crookedstave.com for those interested in purchasing bottles. The second beer we are releasing from our Barrel Cellar for Cellar Reserve Members is Persica, our Sour Golden Ale Aged in Oak with Peaches. This beer was 100% Brett fermented then aged 9 months in oak barrels with 110 pounds of Colorado peaches in each barrel. There were only 2 barrels total so there is not much of this beer to go around. We have set a one bottle limit per member for extra allocation purchases. If after 1 week there are still bottles left, I will allow all members to purchase and additional 1 bottle. There is not enough bottles for each member to purchase another bottle (only 140 extra) so please act quick if this is a release you really want. As well, we now have the Member glasses in! For anyone who did not make it to the first release we will have Blackberry Petite Sour bottles, member shirts, totes and we will have Persica, member glasses, and bottles of Petite Sour for those who purchased on-line. We are not permitted to sell beer out front of Falling Rock or Backcountry Pizza and Tap House. On to the release details! On Saturday May 26th we will be holding our Denver release again at Falling Rock Tap House (located at 1919 Blake St. Denver, CO. 80202). We'll be out front distributing Cellar Reserve allocations from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The second release will be Sunday May 27th this time being held at Backcountry Pizza and Tap House (located at 2319 Arapahoe Ave. Boulder, CO. 80302) We'll be out back from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. where the parking and entrance is with our tent and having a good time!
This one is going to be tough to get...only 2 per member. I spoke with someone that tasted it already, they said it's the best Crooked Stave release yet...pretty phenomenal. I can't wait.
