I'm going to be staying in the Crossville area in a couple of weeks and am looking for some places to buy/try/and bring back that I can't find in Wisconsin. Mostly DIPA's or IPA's interest me but I'll take a look for anything. What have you got for me???
Good times is the only decent bottle shop there. Have not been there yet but have heard good things. Im about thirty miles east of Crossville. Good fresh hops in TN are few and far between but as far as local brews anything from Yazoo and Blackstone are decent. Weisacre also does a tasty IPA and an outstanding coffee milk stout. Against the grain out of Kentucky does a good ipa called Rico Suavin. Also Monkeynaught from Straight to ale is delicious. Calfkiller is very interesting local brewery out of Sparta TN but they will be draft only. Most of their beers are unfiltered. they do a great pale ale called Grassroots and they have a few hoppy offerings (Scorned hooker, scorched hooker, and cerebral predator) Hope this helps.
