Does your local offer crowlers? Is there a surcharge on them? Just how widespread are they?

As far as I know the only place in the SF Bay Area offering crowlers right now is Fieldwork. There's a dollar surcharge. Great for trading and travel, of course. But I have a stubbie/howler that I can use.

The 2 breweries and 2 growler fill stations here that have them charge the same for a 32oz fill whether you bring your own container or fill a crowler.

$2 at Singlecut in NYC, that's the only brewery I've been to with Crowler fills.

Alabama goes legal for growler / crowler sales June 1 . All local places around me have crowler machines now. One I spoke to was planning on charging $1 surcharge

I only know of one spot that fills crowlers in south Florida, and they charge 99 cents.

No charge. But if anyone has any interest as to how much a Crowler machine/cans cost, I have a business estimate that I can link to here when I get home from work. It ain't cheap lol

I've heard from people who bought them that the machine and first pallet of cans is roughly $5K, which doesn't seem that bad for a business, since the expectation is that will drive additional sales, but I haven't heard what it costs per can for the replenishment.
