It looks like it's been awhile since there was any Chicago Crowler info out there so I thought I'd check to see if there have been any new places that have added a crowler machine. The 32oz crowler can fits in wine styro shippers really nicely and its a great way for me to send friends Chicago beer from breweries that haven't bottled/canned much or sent anything to distro. Here's the last list I saw courtesy of @77apm but that was from a year ago: DryHop Brewers Corridor Brewery and Provisions BreakRoom Brewery (edit: I guess there closed now) Imperial Oak Brewing Noon Whistle Brewing Ram Any updates? I live in the western suburbs so anything out that way is especially appreciated. Thanks!!
Does Ram do crowlers on all of their stuff? I know they did crowlers a little while back for one of the batches of Juicy, but I hadn't heard anything about crowlers being available recently. I know there was talk about getting growlers from the recent Coco-Nilla & Hop on Hops tappings, but I didn't think I heard about crowlers being available.
DryHop Brewers Corridor Brewery and Provisions Imperial Oak Brewing Noon Whistle Brewing RAM (Schaumburg and Wheeling locations, but not all the time I believe) Hailstorm 350 Brewing Future: Mikerphone Lil Beaver (though downstate but one I'm waiting on in anticipation)
Currently only the Wheeling location owns a Crowler machine, so Schamburg has to borrow it to offer any of Shaun's brews in that format, I know there were no Crowlers of Morning Fog
I went a couple Saturdays ago (which I think was just a few days after they opened) and thought they were off to a good start. The space itself is gorgeous. We sat at the bar and talked with the bartender for a bit- great service and very friendly staff. We got tasters of everything they had on tap and the beers ranged from mediocre to very good. I really like that they have a pilsner and a brown ale, styles that aren't very popular with new places but are a welcome change of pace. I'd agree with your buddy and say it's worth checking out.
