Thinking about stopping in there. Just wondering if it is worth it and whats good? Do they have food, and if they do, is it a place you can take the family? Thanks a lot!

It's really a terrific place. Attached to a pizza place. So family can eat there.
Pub is small, beer is really good.
I really enjoy their stouts. I think they may still have a BA stout on tap too!
    Worth the visit.
They have cheap pint days, growler fill days etc too. Take advantage.

The beer is good, the pizza's better, and yes it is family friendly. Certainly worth visiting if you're in the area. I recommend the beer flight, and don't be afraid to ask for a sample before ordering a pint.

Never been there but have had a few of their beers, tasty. Definitely get the Special Forces IPA, stay away from the Crown Brown.

I would say different. Solid stouts, porters, brown ale and light lagers...ipa is too malty for my liking and they have some awful ba beers to date...ba grand poobah maybe best to date but that's not saying much. Pizza is good, other food is frozen and blah...

Crown is definitely worth checking out. Steve has done wonders for that place since he took over a few years ago. Definitely need to get the Java Porter and Pumpkin if it's still on tap. As far as food is concerned their BBQ chicken pizza is a must. Also very kid friendly, they have a small game room upstairs as well.

Thank you everyone! Sounds like I'm gonna have to hit this place soon. I did see that growler fills are $8 on Wednesday. Is that a refill price, or new glass too? And what beer is available in the growlers?

Everything is fair game for Growlers except for BA stuff. Price is for fills not for Growlers. They fill other growlers but slap a sticker on due to Indiana law. Just make sure you pre-wash if you bring your own.

I'll add, the $8 growler fill on Wednesday is for the core four brews only (crown light, crown blue, crown brown, special forces). I'll echo what other said in that they have good porters; there's generally always a specialty porter going, which I'd recommend, and their regular porter 'industrial porter' is pretty good as well. IMO, their beglians are great when they're on, but I don't think any are right now. They got half priced pints on thursday, but the place is quite small, and it gets crazy busy then.

I'm probably gonna shoot to go up there on a Wednesday, and it just so happens that I love porters and stouts. Very excited to try this place. Thanks everyone!

Not worth it and not good. Food is horrible. Seriously. I go up there once every 2 or 3 months and every time I leave asking my self why I bothered.

Bbq pizza is awesome (not as good as the Livery's) but really good. Fresh ba poobah is ok. They're regular porters are really watered down. Don't waste your time. Ipas are mediocre at best. They're specially porters are really good though. Tiramisu porter, chocolate browny, peanut butter cup are all good. But the don't have specialty porters on their menu. You have to ask if they have any. If your in the area go for it but definitely don't go out of your way to go.

I used to live 5 minutes from there, and I almost never went. Whenever I did, the beer was lousy/bland/watery. The food is terrible, equivalent to something I'd make from the freezer when I came home drunk. Don't go out of your way.
