Crown Brewing Cherry jubbelee Java Porte

    Just giving a heads up to anyone that may be in the area that Crown Brewing has a Cherry Java Porter on tap. It's pretty damn tasty! I picked up a growler this afternoon and just about polished it off. Very nice cherry taste! I thought I saw a bourbon barrel cherry Imperial Stout. Didn't get to try that cause I was in a rush. I don't think it's available in growlers either. Anyways, stop in and try it! Don't think anyone will be disappointed!

    CJ was cashed yesterday but White Russian JP is now on tap and delicious. BA Cherry Grand Poobah and BA Squatch Barleywine are the current BA offerings and fantastic as well.

    Glad I got some Cherry Jubelee when I did! That was one of the best porters I've ever had! Hope they make that again. They had a raspberry last month that was good, but the cherry was a home run!

    Java Porter has always been solid from them. I keep telling Steve that they need to barrel age that stuff. Either way glad to see Crown getting some respect on here. My favorite unknown brewery!

    Crown does a lot of really great stuff that nobody really knows about. They are overshadowed by their neighbors from Munster and do not bottle their really good stuff. ... It really helps when fans of their stuff post hads/reviews that reflect their positive experience. Unfortunately, I think a lot of reviews that think everything should taste like FFF have trashed Crown in reviews.

    I try and get to Crown a few times a month. I agree that the java porter is solid! I had a Vermont Maple Pecan Java Porter and a Chocolate Fudge Brownie Java Porter a few months back and they were both outstanding! I love FFF for their IPA/APA stuff, but the Porters and the few BA offerings I've had from Crown are superb!

    I couldn't agree with you both more. The addition of the new barrel room now is really going to allow for even better things plus the outdoor beer garden extension.
