Crown Liquors #19 - Carmel

    I'll be traveling for business to Carmel the week of the 21st. I noticed on here that this Crown Liquor store is fairly high rated and its very close to my hotel. I'm thinking of flying an extra bag to check if I can find some good beers to bring back to NC. Is there any local stuff I should seek out at this store? Any Three Floyds stuff I should def get? Any help is appreciated.

    They always have a few bombers of 3 Floyds. No ZD. Look for anything from 18th Street. If you are staying in Carmel, check out the Pint Room. They have 4oz pours of any beer for $1.75. Its a great place to try a ton of stuff. Hit me up right before you get to town. I'll let you know what store has the good stuff.

    I've noticed several stores lately have had Upland Malefactor and Upland Dantalion. If you like sours, those are worth grabbing.

    +1 on the Malefactor. Upland also has a $11-12 4 pack of BA Barley wine that is good and easy to find... its called "Barrel Chested".

    And their head barkeep is a good dude. Hooked me up with a free Black Note Stout last fall!

    Ben is awesome but he just moved to Colorado :slight_frown: He said the place would be in good hands though - hopefully very true because that place has been rock solid.

    Last few weeks I believe. I found out when I talked to him at the Mikkeller event last month and he said it was his last week on the job there.

    After going to a couple liquor stores around the north side this afternoon i found some blushing monk, jupiter, hopslam, wulvers, BA siberian nights, Malefactors, and a few 18th St. Devil's Conclaves sitting on shelves. PM me if you're interested in knowing the exact stores.

    EDIT: I suppose by the 21st it may be too late for some of those.
