Bruh, I crush Utopias like wusses crush 120s. If you aren't doing keg stands of Chocolate Rain, you need to amp up your chugging power!

I'm so glad I'm old enough to understand sarcasm and old enough to not know what some of the words in that sentence are. :grinning:

I just want to vote on possibly retiring the word "crushable," it gives me a shiver down my spine...

"Stop making the word 'crushable' happen" hahaha

These responses are as ridiculous as the question itself. I don't prescribe to made up rules like stouts should only be drank in the winter, but I do not see them as a beer you pound down either. Not to be a sore sport, I think Against the Grain 35K goes down like a milkshake.

Thank you! I came here to say something like this. Are we here on BA often snobby with our beer? Sure. Should we just throw back and drink some more without over analyzing? Yeah. But "crushable stouts?" Actually, I play beer pong with BCBS... so yeah.

Depends on the definition of crushable...if it's crushing a stout like a pilsner then no there isn't a stout for me that I could crush that fast. I'm probably a bad person to ask because to me all of it is meant to be savored, especially stouts and especially with stout cost. Unless it's bad craft then yeah crush away for the sake of not pouring it down your drain.

Gotta find something to do with it all before it goes sour

As for some of these answers ... assuming i understand the term "crushing" correctly, I want video of you guys "crushing" these stouts *and* the aftermath.

That being said, Guinness is certainly "crushable" in my understanding of "crushable".

If I understand the term 'crushable' correctly and you are 'crushing' imperial stouts, you are not drinking the beer as intended. You can do whatever you want with you beer, no right or wrong way to drink it but it would be comparable to taking shots of Pappy which just seems like a complete waste.

Why not stick a funnel down your throat? That way all stouts are "crushable". WTF people!

I wouldn't rank any of the OP's stouts listed as "crushable." Although I loathe that term (it is not a word anyway!), my votes for a flavorful Stout that you can have more than one of and still be able to handle heavy machinery:
The Brits have it down so here are my top three sessionable Stouts:
    1 - Murphy's (Murphy's)
    2 - Beamish (Beamish & Crawford)
    3 - Double Chocolate Stout (Young's)

Albeit a bit stronger, these are my votes for this side of the pond
    1 - Espressway (Two Roads)
    2 - Exit 1 (Flying Fish)
3 - Milk Stout (Left Hand)

Murphy's. Better than Guiness and just as "crushable"

I love stouts but generally speaking I don't find them crushable; I savor and sip them. The exception may be any stout on nitro.

That's What She Said, but can to crush a stout that's bottled? Wouldn't that be a shatterable stout?
