I received an email from Farmhouse Brewing this morning, announcing the sale of various cryo hops in 2-8 oz packages. Has anyone brewed with them? Any tips or advice? Thanks.
I've never brewed with them, but I have had a couple of commercial beers brewed with "lupulin powder". I wasn't a big fan of either one. They both had this taste I didn't like. It was a familiar feeling, but I can't describe it. Sort of like it overloads your taste buds, whereas a normal hoppy beer is mostly aroma. With that said, I'd like to try any new ingredient at least once just for the experience.
