Crystal City (Arlington, VA) Beer Stops?

    I usually stay in DC for work but I'm stuck in Crystal City next week. I know I could just catch the train into D.C. but a few of my nights will be late and I would love a good beer stop in the area. I would be happy with a few DC Brau on tap or something similar.

    Anything around?

    Crystal City kinda sucks. Galaxy Hut in Arlington and Rustico and Pizza Paradiso in Alexandria are probably the closest places with good beer,* although the kabob place right by the Metro stop is pretty decent.

    *haven't lived up there in a bit, might be some newer spots i'm unaware of

    Yellow or blue south to King Street. Free trolly from station to waterfront, stops every two blocks. Guidebooks on the trolly. Many great places to have beer there, Pizza Paradiso has the best selection, but many places have good selections.

    If you are willing to taxi, Rustico is located a mile-and-a-half south of your hotel. Great selection in a nice setting with great food.

    oh, and i meant that the kabob place is good for kabobs, not beer

    thanks...It sounds like its probably worth just heading into the city via metro. I'm sure a few hotels in CC have a few OK beers on tap. Maybe I'll get lucky.
