What a pleasant surprise to walk into Amity Wine in Hamden and see a veritable plethora of new beer lines. As a down trodden nutmeg'r, use to living in a state with prohibitive incentives for new brewery's to bring their wares to CT, i was so pleasantly surprised. After hearing the rumors and chat about so many new good beers coming into my state, I was skeptical to say the least. The same beers I made many a road trip to MA and NY to buy were now at my local. Yeah! The envelope please. Green flash...what what Clown Shoes....heyooo Sixpont.....boom! Rock Art.....meh! Tepid welcoming per my experience. Lest we not forget Goose Island thanks to the evil empires acquisition! I guess what I'm saying, a good beer day. Having a 160z sixpoint Rye pale. Who did i miss?
I couldn't agree more on what is coming into the state. I mean getting Green Flash and Sixpoint is huge (if only we could get Bear Republic as well). Also love the fact I can get Brewdog now as well. Didn't realize Rock Art was here and psyched if Founders is really coming in. Wow, that would be some really great brewers coming in recently.
Bear Republic has to be may favorite brewery, that would be awesome. Founders too! is this an episode of the twilight zone!
BrewDog has been here for some years now, on the coast anyway. But amen, enjoying a Double Stout as we type.
ive had alot of founders via trade or being in Philly, cant wait for them to show up, just had a fresh Centenial IPA last nite, it was very tasty
