Headed down to DC for Presidents' Day weekend. Stopping at tired hands in pa on the way down. Anyone have any good suggestions of places in DC or along the way?

Also plan on hitting DC Brau, Churchkey, and Meridian Pint.

If you feel like making a stop in Baltimore, then Union, Brewer's Art, and Pratt St. Ale House are worth checking out.

Brewer's Art's beer is great... but it's nothing compared to their cheeseburger & garlic-thyme fries.

Stateline in MD. 1st exit in on 95. Great selection, and that exit/state has cheap(er) gas than Jerz.

Holy shit those fries are amazing! The beer doesn't taste nearly as good when consumed outside of the restaurant because it's not paired with those incredible fries.

Alright, sweet. Anyone else got some DC proper suggestions? Also, anyone want to suggest a store for take home goods? Looking for Williamsburg Aleworks specifically.

Tons of stores in NoVA. I frequent total wine mclean the most. I saw a bunch of Eclipse bottles at Corridor Wine in Laurel today (I bought all their Elijah Craig, however). In DC check out Whole Foods on P street first. Connecticut ave. on Q and Connecticut has some good stuff.

I have a bottle of Alewerks Bourbon Barrel porter if you can't find it and want to IP trade.

Please keep in mind that when you go looking for brews in DC, prices here are considerably higher than many other places, and that also goes for some of the surrounding counties (which are even higher). It all depends on where you go.

lots of people here get sticker shock.

That being said, don't know how much of an issue this is for you, being that CT is farily close (Depending) to NYC but I am not sure how much prices on items translate up there.

Just for your information. Enjoy your visit!

Bier Baron Tavern (formerly Brickskeller) is a good beer destination. Food wasn't that great and the bottle menu is completely out of date, but if you sit at the bar and just order the stuff you're staring at behind the counter you'll be happy.
