I'm not making a stand or even a point. I'm just saying those beers (assuming you mean BCBS + Variants) have a great reputation and are freaking delicious. I was just confused that the ISO:FT board exploded for this of all things.

Funny how not that long ago many BA's were predicting the demise of Goose Island. After all, who would ever pay $20, let alone trade their first born son, for a bottle of beer brewed by AB InBev? Guess that didn't happen.

Is a Grey Monday out of reach for a Cthulhu? (This is simply a question, I am not saying that it is or isn't)

This was brewed by Goose Island Clybourn. Still owned by John Hall and independent from Inbev ownership.

I don't care which way all this goes, I just want to clear that up.

I believe AB InBev only helps with Honkers Ale, 312 and maybe a couple other beers like that. GI still does the Bourbon County and Belgians, etc.

Correct. They don't just help with 312, honkers, summertime, IPA, blah blah blah, AB InBev flat out brews them now. Yes, GI themselves still do the others.

The Clybourn ( where cthulhu was brewed) and Wrigleyville brewpubs weren't purchased by AB-InBev.

If people are crazy enough to trade their entire cellar for this beer, let them do it. Its a free country.

I have HF Flora from last year (I believe ~300 bottle release, $20 per bottle, 1 per, HILLFARMSTEADBRO) and I guarantee that beer wouldn't SNIFF Cthulhu. I'd be laughed down. Which is fine, I'd rather drink another Flora. I think. Unless all this hype is real. And GI Cthulhu is the real deal...

    OHMYGOD IM LOSING MY MINDNDNDNDNDNDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!

Yes fake low ratings are the new way to express your entitled butthurt when you can't get the beer you want.

Can you imagine if this continues with every new hyped release?

Look at the reviews and who made them. Don't be dumb and lazy just to be a contrarian.

Well, that full review dragging the score down is garbage and won't last. And in general I don't trust anything less than a 2 to not have an agenda, unless there is something fundamentally wrong with the beer like an infection or it just grossly misses the mark.

But, I'm fully willing to believe this is only an 85-90 caliber beer that is riding the hype train.

Whatever - I've learned that it's not worth caring about anything with less than 1000 bottles.

Please go to my 107 reviews under 2 and let me know what each agenda was. I give under 2 to beers from some of my favorite breweries including Deschutes, not because I expect more, but because the beer was shit.

Not all were infected, not all missed the mark completely (to style, I'm assuming this is what you meant). I just thought they sucked probably.

Although I agree with the rest of your post.

An even bigger question is: How the hell does a deaf person pronounce this?
