Perhaps agenda isn't the perfect word. More like "personal opinion instead of fair critique". I think in your case many of those were beers that just straight-up did not fit with your palate, in which case I still discount the review just as equally. Not because you're wrong, but the odds that there was something wrong with the beer to your palate is higher than the odds that there was something wrong with the beer in general. True to some degree with every bad review, but I find the sub-2.0 class is a special set of outliers.

I would also trust your reviews, having over 1000 of them, much moreso than somebody giving out a 1.x with only 5 reviews to their name.

I actually don't think it is.

This is completely nonsense (*) and much of what's wrong with how people review on this site. sub-2.0 should be exactly as common or uncommon as over-4.0.

(*) Unless you'd also be willing to treat over-4.0 review the same.

You haven't even tried posting this offer, so this seems like rank speculation.

(Of course, even though it seems like a fair offer, you still might not get any takers, given low bottle counts and the need to get lucky with someone who has one they want to trade who wants to trade it for Flora, but... you still haven't even given it a shot before claiming it's impossible.)

Yeah, it's possible I'd get it done. But Flora didn't get it done for FFF Behemoth with Cherries, and I said I'd add other tough to get HF/other cellar stuff to get it done, just to make up for cost. Chicago tightasses ;-)

But you have to accept that not every "fair" trade offer will get done. This is especially true for such small releases.

This is one of the primary differences between trading, and buying and selling. If we had a liquid cash market, you'd just buy Behemoth w/ Cherries at the market rate, and sell your Flora at the market rate, and it would be easy. But, because we're trading, this will only happen if it just happens that two people have aligned wants (and actually see the ISO post). There's a huge number of fair trades that never happen because things just don't line up right.

There is 3x Flora and Cthulu than there was BA Behemoth wick Cherries - only 111 bottles. Also BA Behemoth wick Cherries was $40, so that's probably your issue right there.

Wasn't BA Behemoth with Cherries 400ish bottles? I didn't realize it was only 111.

Edit: Nope, 111 bottles. Maybe the regular BA was 400. Whoops.

I don't disagree that's how things should be, but it's not the way they are. People rarely even give out sub-3. I simplify like this: 4+ is awesome, 3-4 is decent, sub 3 is bad. I may occasionally look into the finer nuances of scores for the best of the best, or adjust for style. But generally I just want to know if a beer is good, bad, or somewhere in between.
