Happy Hump Day Everyone, My wife and I will be going to the Cubs vs. Brewers game on August 1st in Milwaukee and I wanted to know if anyone had some good advice on bars/breweries near the stadium.
We've been to Lakefront (Plan on going again since its a hilarious tour) but I wanted to bar crawl around the stadium since its a 6pm game at good Beer Bars/ Restaurants.
    I appreciate any help, cheers!

The area by Bluemound and 52nd is a strip of bars that all offer free shuttles to the game. Storyhill KBC will probably have the best craft beer selection, but there are other cool places in that area you can hop around before the game. Lots of good food options on that strip. It's not far from the stadium, so you could technically even walk it.

Otherwise, downtown there are a few bars on Old World 3rd Street that have shuttles. You could hit up Rumpus Room for the great beer selection and then head over to 3rd street to find a bar with a shuttle.

I'll be taking the Reggies party bus up to this game. You can come tailgate with us in the parking lot before the game. Free booze and food and I'll probably bring a couple of growlers from some of our local establishments.

Sounds like the exact place where I want to be, thanks for letting me know. Cool if I message you before the game?

I stopped by Fountainhead on my last Chicago trip. It's pretty close to the stadium. Great food and they cellar some amazing stuff. Popped my Bruery cherry with a Sucre that knocked me on my ass

Absolutely. Just shoot me a BM.
The game is in Milwaukee, not Chicago.

Milwaukee Brewing Co., Brenner Brewing Company and District 14 are three good breweries not too far out of the way. If you hit D14, you must stop at Sugar Maple very nearby! If you go to Lakefront, Company Brewing is nearby, newer with some good beer! If you are looking closer to stadium, go to Ray's Growler Gallery and stop downstairs at the bottle shop, one of Milwaukee's best. Do not go to Big Head Brewing, it's close to the stadium, but the beer is not good. Anyways, cheers!

Tailgating is the way to go up there. Always a good scene...especially when the brewers are NOT playing the Flubs.

And the dude with the black flag picture knows good beer!

Discount Liquor is a few miles south of Miller Park, pretty much a straight shot from there to the parking lot for tailgating. If you do stop in there they have very few beers in coolers, so you'll need a cooler w. ice to chill the beer...
