Thanks to everyone for sorting me out on the typical cost of Cucumber Saison. I plan to actively seek this one out very soon....

 

Cucumber in a bottle. Nasty in my opinion.

 

I'm a bit late to the game here, but this beer sounds spectacular.

It's not listed on Cigar's website...when is it brewed and does it ever make its way up to Virginia?

It is, and don't hold your breath, its prety popular down here and most likely wont make it that far...

 

I will have to disagree with you here. Cucumber can degrade into some cardboard/oxidized flavors. caveat that I haven't aged one out but I think this particular beer is best consumed fresh.

 

Eat gyros and tzatziki (sp? too lazy to look up...) sauce with this bad boy, yummm.

 

You are 100% right. This debate reminds me of when people like to say that grammar and spelling don't matter because you get your point across regardless of how poorly spelled and punctuated something is, which, as an English major (yes, I'm sure I'll get a great job out of college, thanks for your concern), bothers the piss out of me because it is NOT the case. These distinctions, while small, really do matter because they have the potential to cause miscommunication, and when it is such a simple fix, why not just do it?

 

I said a few months, not a few years. After all, it's not an IPA.

 

It's brewed in late spring/early summer. And pretty much no chance that you'll ever see it up in VA, CCB can't keep up with demand in FL and have pretty much stopped shipments to the other states that they currently distribute to, and VA is not one of them from what I understand.

I was at the tasiting room Monday, they had plenty in the cooler and I saw maby 10 cases in the large cooler in the brewery. It is also still in some sroes her in Orlando

Do you prefer cucumbers in the can? I kid I kid, this is definitely a flavor that can be very polarizing

 

You are right, problem being that some of the crew around here might take a few months to mean much longer. I liked both tap and bottle but tap seemed much more fresh and vibrant. I think I drank the bottle about 2 weeks after the initial release.

 

Cucumber Saison won a bronze at GABF on Saturday! And it was by far the hugest hit at our booth during the fest, so much so that we ran out of it on Friday before we won the medal.
